Lavender Darcangelo is a 27-year-old blind and autistic singer from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She started singing at the age of three, before she could speak.
Lavender’s audition for Season 18 of America's Got Talent has garnered widespread attention, and it is evident that her beautiful voice has resonated with audiences worldwide. She sang “Out Here on My Own” by Irene Cara and the viral video has over 4 million views on YouTube.
She is currently working on her debut solo album titled Mosaic. According to her website, it will feature many different songs from pop to jazz to rock and country. The aim is to honor and raise awareness of the diversity within the autism and disability community. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Doug Flutie Jr Foundation for Autism.
