Interstellar

Interstellar is a 2014 science fiction movie, directed by Christopher Nolan. Set in a bleak future where humanity is in danger of extinction, a group of astronauts attempt to search for a habitable planet via interstellar travel.

The organist, Wanying Lin, performed a rendition of the movie soundtracks. Her amazing interpretation encapsulates the film’s breathtaking journey of what is at stake, overwhelming us with the trepidation and intensity of the ride.

It is interesting to note the music was written by the composer Hans Zimmer without knowing the plot. According to an interview, Zimmer reflected there was only a letter from Nolan to write about what it meant to be a father. After listening to the piece, Nolan responded he "better make the movie now" and “I now know what the heart of the story is”.
