2CELLOS

2Cellos (stylized 2CΞLLOS) is a Croatian cellist duo, composed by Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, skillfully combines classical music with modern pop music. Šulić attended the prestigious London's Royal Academy of Music, and Hauser studied at Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. They were discovered by Sony Music after uploading their cello rendition of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" on YouTube, which quickly propelled them to fame. Their musical talent stems from professional classical training received from a young age and a wealth of accolades. Their style, blending classical, pop, and rock music, showcases their unique creativity and performance charm. Additionally, they were invited to join Elton John on his global tour.

As their fame grew, 2CELLOS began to appear frequently on various television shows, such as "The Tonight Show", "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", and "Lopez Tonight". And they performed an arrangement of "Smooth Criminal" in the third season of the television show "Glee".

In 2020, Stjepan Hauser released his first solo album "Classic". In this album, he collaborated with the London Symphony Orchestra to interpret classic pieces including Tchaikovsky's selections from "Swan Lake" and "The Nutcracker," Bach's "Air on the G String," Mozart's Flute Concerto, and Chopin's "Nocturnes." His interpretation not only preserved the essence of classical music but also infused pop elements, revealing a boundless new charm. Meanwhile, Luka Šulić is also set to release his solo album in 2024.
