Civilization IV Baba Yetu

Updated: Aug 21, 2020

Without us really noticing, lots of music we hear around us, in games, inside malls, on radios, during commercials, are either classical or orchestration of modern compositions. One of the most famous in recent years must be "Baba Yetu", theme song of the 2005 video game Civilization IV. Did you know Babe Yetu means "Our Father" and the entire song is "The Lord's Prayer" in Swahili? It's also the very first time a video game theme song has won a Grammy Award. Here's the link to this energetic piece, performed by the world famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London) and the Grammy winning Soweto Gospel Choir. Enjoy again!
