Their objective is to awaken the choristers to the richness and varied repertoires of polyphonic music (classical music, world music, film music, French songs, etc.) and to take up musical challenges together. In rehearsal, the emphasis is on the search for vocal homogeneity, musicality, etc. but also on performing before an audience, several times a year.

Founded in 2011, Mélopée is a choir of young girls aged 8 to 18. Their common passion? Simply enjoying the pleasure of singing together. They meet for rehearsals twice a week in Uccle (Brussels) in addition to voice training sessions . Since its creation, the choir has been placed under the direction of Romain Verbeeren.
Mélopée has recently expanded its musical team and set up optional workshops to improve the skills of motivated singers: individual singing lessons, on the one hand, and a group dedicated to "variété-pop" singing, called MéloPop, which allows girls to broaden their vocal panel, to undertake specific interpretation and scenic expression work by assimilating the technique of micro and second voice.
While learning to sing, Mélopée develops a real group life at the heart of musical emotion!
Their 2018-2019 season was marked by participation in major events such as Educode's festive concert with the Ensemble Orchestral de Bruxelles in the prestigious Henry Leboeuf Hall of the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, or the "Film Music" concert with the Melomania Youth Orchestra at the Uccle Cultural Centre. Mélopée crowns its season with the publication of its second CD (3 years after the first)! It contains 16 tracks recorded live with professional musicians.
