Good night!

During this turbulent time, for our physical and mental health, a good night sleep is more important than ever. You may already heard of "sleep music" playlists like tranquil piano works from old masters such as J.S. Bach, Debussy or Chopin. Today, we would like to introduce you this contemporary piece specifically composed for the purpose of helping you catch the ZZZ better.

Sleep, by German-British composer Max Richter, is an 8.5 hour listening experience targeted to fit a full night's rest, based on the knowledge of neuroscience of sleeping. The album contains 31 composition based on 4 or 5 variations to imitate the cycles of brain activities when we sleep, it can be seen as an exploration of music, consciences and human connectivity. The music is composed for Piano, Cello, 2 Violas, 2 Violins, Organ, Soprano vocals, Synthesisers and Electronics. In 2015, during the program of Science and Music on BBC Radio 3, this piece was performed live from midnight to 8AM, which broke the record of live performance of single piece of the station. Why not listen to the pampering sound of Sleep next time when you are counting sheep trying fall asleep? Let us know if it works or you still prefer the old masters.
